Very Parisien.

I found some old pictures i took in Paris in 2006 of inside Notre Dame and of the Eiffel Tower at night. I was so pleased to see them because I thought they were long lost and deleted!

I remember standing directly underneath the tower for about half an hour taking hundreds of pictures because i was so fascinated by it. Beautiful place...wish i could afford to visit it again some time soon. Boooo... Perhaps i'll smile sweetly at that boy of mine.

The B of the Bang & Chris TT.

The Beginning.

So to top off a nice sunny day in Southsea, off I went to the Cellars at Eastney yesterday evening to watch my boyfriend's gig. I pre-warn you any comments about the drummer are completely bias..he's actually rubbish. (He's not).

So... the B of the Bang started off the night with an Acoustic set -playing a mixture of older tracks from their album Beginning,Middle,End. and a few new ones from their forth coming E.P. As with any B of the Bang gig you are guaranteed a good night thanks to their large assortment of instruments creating all sorts of inspirational sounds, constant witty banter throughout, and of course the overwhelming handsomeness of the drummer.
As with any gig, there were some tuning issues and some guitar strings snapping along the way but this did not effect the overall quality of the set or knock any confidence.

The Middle.

A few pints later, next up was Chris TT. A one-man set from Brighton, with just a guitar and keyboard for company. The only way I can describe the sound was a complete cross between musician Frank Turner and Jack Black. His songs were full of very clever lyrics and additional humourous stories and comments. The set was highly entertaining and clearly Chris TT is a man of many ideas. Although at first seeming a little awkward I was completely persuaded by his music in the end, and would recommend a listen to any music lovers.

It was a quiet and relaxed gig, somewhat lacking in viewers but making the night all the more private and special. Definitely had a good evening's entertainment and both bands I will be ready to see again soon.

The End.

My Vintage Photo Textiles.

For my Final Major Project I am using the theme of old holiday photos- (and my own new photos edited to look old) to create a digital textile print. Usually I am used to using just my drawings and photoshop etc to create a print...would be interested to see feedback of my work so far?

Originally I was creating my designs for Fashion- Camisole tops for Lingerie. But I am thinking of now designing for Interior Textiles as I can imagine the prints more on cushions and duvet spreads etc. . I found an image of a monochrome photo print chair which i really liked which made me think that my designs would be more suited to interiors. Think i need to do some more shop research. Retail therapy excuse? Granted.

Roberto Cavalli Snakes.

We've got some Snake Armed Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses in at work at the moment. They're about £180 which is probably the most expensive pair in the whole store...expensive taste. We only have two pairs , one of each colour so I'm trying to hide them for a while so I can get them! I have to admit that I am a little bit in love.

Digi animal prints.

Wanted to share my latest finds on very.co.uk. I really am a big photo print fan- hence the theme of photo montage for my FMP. LOVE these horse print tees...and managed to purchase a tiger photo print one the other week. Dirty shopping addictions.. Oh well, better than that addiction to crack?

Sunny Southsea.

Well..the sun was shining all day so after work i popped down to the seafront one evening to take some snaps of the last days of February! Just uploaded them so take a look...

I took Percy the Polaroid as well but it was far too windy to take any good ones with him..so Daisy the digital had to do all the work! Had an issue with a dirty lense..and they are unedited at the moment but I will work on them in Photoshop when i get a minute. :)

Wonderful Wonderland.

I'm really liking all of the alice and wonderland themed garments at the moment taking inspiration from the new film. Rabbit printed cardigans in Monsoon , mad hatter vest tops in Miss Selfridge and Topshop have lots of puffy layered dresses at the moment. Perhaps come pay day I'll be Wonderlanding my wardrobe.

I'm seeing the film tonight..maybe some of the costumes will give me inspiration for my final major project for my textile prints!
